Early Identification and Intervention for children born with Hearing Impairment
Implementing Partner – VAANI Deaf Children Foundation Place – Kolkata, Siliguri, Guwahati and Kishanganj Sensitization and awareness Session with mothers of newborn babies at Guwahati, Assam. Newborn child screening being done for identification of any hearing impairment. A Child with Hearing Impairment is being taught Indian Sign Language for proper communication.
Eradication of Malnutrition
Implementing Partner – Raj Kumari Foundation Place – Khordha (Odisha) Awareness session with women about malnutrition in the community. Annaprashan program being held in the community to feed the child with healthy and nutritious food.
Community Led Mangrove Plantations
Implementing Partner – Mukti Place – Kankardighi, Sunderbans (West Bengal) SHG women carrying the mangroves for plantation, which will later be monitored and maintained by them, to make them financially independent. SHG women in the community doing mangrove plantation for environment protection in Sunderbans.
