Extended Producer's Responsibility

Our Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) initiative for plastic bag collection, in collaboration with the government, ensures efficient recycling and waste reduction. Together, we promote a cleaner, greener future. In FY23-24 we helped collect and repurpose 86% of the total plastic used in making our products. Objective is to take this to 100% by FY 25-26

Plantation Drives in
Key Areas

We conduct plantation drives at our key locations to enhance green cover and promote biodiversity, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and community well-being. So far, we’ve covered 1.2 acres in Dankuni, 2 acres in Bhubaneswar, and 0.5 acres in Hajipur.

Committed to Clean and Renewable Energy and Low Carbon Footprint

We utilize clean energy and fuels like natural gas to reduce our carbon footprint and ensure sustainable operations. At our Bhubaneswar plant, solar energy provides an average of 32,000 units monthly, contributing to a total of 104,000 units with CESU energy. Thakurganj and Dankuni plants receive approximately 35,000 solar units monthly, with Dankuni covering 6% of its total energy consumption.

Harnessing Thermal Energy for Efficient Water Heating

We employ a state-of-the-art heat recuperation system to optimize energy use. By utilizing thermal heat, we efficiently heat water for our processes, enhancing sustainability and reducing energy consumption.

Conducting Energy Audits to Minimize Environmental Impact

We conduct comprehensive energy audits to identify opportunities for reducing energy consumption and minimizing our environmental impact. Through these audits, we ensure that our operations are as energy-efficient and sustainable as possible.
