Production Planning & Control (PPC) Deputy Manager – Biscuits Manufacturing

QualificationS AND SKIILS
  • Educational Background
    o Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, Food Technology, or Operations Management.
  • Experience
    o Ideally 7-14 years in PPC or supply chain roles, preferably within FMCG or
    food processing sectors.
  • Technical Proficiency
    o Strong command of ERP/MRP platforms (e.g., SAP, Tally).
    o Advanced Excel skills for data analysis (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
    o Familiarity with PPC tools.
  • Soft Skills
    o Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving.
    o Robust communication and cross-departmental coordination.
    o Time management, pressure handling, and proactive adaptability.
Position Overview:

As a PPC Deputy Manager in a biscuits manufacturing setting, you will play a crucial role in coordinating production schedules, ensuring materials and packaging are available, and maintaining seamless operations to meet product quality and delivery targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Production Scheduling & Planning
    o Create and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans aligned with
    demand forecasts and inventory objectives.
    o Adjust schedules in response to material availability, machine capacity, or
    demand fluctuations.
    o Ensure production targets are met by coordinating with production, quality,
    store, and dispatch teams.
  • Inventory & Material Management
    o Monitor raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods levels; coordinate
    with procurement to ensure timely replenishment.
    o Track material shortages and liaise with the sourcing team to resolve supply
    issues.
    o Track WIP progress and address bottlenecks to avoid delays in the baking or
    packaging process.
  • Data Reporting & Analysis
    o Maintain daily MIS reports, monitor KPIs such as production efficiency, on-
    time delivery, and inventory turnover.
    o Analyse data to suggest process optimizations, cost reductions, and waste
    minimization initiatives.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    o Act as a liaison between production, procurement, quality assurance, and
    logistics to coordinate smooth operations.
    o Support demand forecasting efforts by collaborating with sales and marketing
    teams.
